VBVFW.EXE : A self-extracting program which will extract the following
files needed for the Microsoft Video for Windows.
- VBLASTER.WRI : a write file giving a brief description of the
video blaster capture driver.
- VBLASTER.DRV : the video blaster capture driver for Microsoft
Video For Windows.
- PCVIDEO.DLL : PCVIDEO.DLL that is required by VBLASTER.DRV.
- OEMSETUP.INF : an oemsetup file for installing the video blaster
driver.
- README.TXT
How to run this program.
VBVFW.EXE : User can create a directory and extract these files into
that created directory. For example the user can create
a subdirectory C:\VBLASTER\VFW and run VBVFW.EXE in this
directory.
To install the Creative Video Blaster VFW Driver :
a. Start Windows v3.1
b. Open the Control Panel and select the Drivers icon.
c. Click on the ADD button.
d. Select Unlisted or Updated driver and click OK.
e. Type in the drive letter containing the driver disk. For example
if you have created a subdirectory C:\VBLASTER\VFW and extracted
all these files in this directory, then you should type
C:\VBLASTER\VFW
f. Use the "Setup..." button to configure the base memory address,
interrupt and playback configuration.
g. After the installation is complete, your "SYSTEM.INI" file should
contain the entries :
[Drivers]
msvideo=vblaster.drv
VIDC.cyuv=vblaster.drv
If you still encounter any problem in this installation, please refer
to Windows 3.1 Documentation for information on using the Drivers Applet
in the Control Panel to install the drivers.
